This morning was a great day after a good night's sleep. We went to pick up the uniforms at Rosemary's tailor shop. Soon, neighboring children came to investigate. We were joined in the 7ft. X 7ft. showroom by about 20 of the children. We amused them by singing and showing them their pictures on digital cameras. Afterwards, we were invited to tour the factory nearby. We entered an unlit, windowless room occupied by three women operating treadle sewing machines. These ladies produced such beautiful uniforms. We returned to the Church of the Torch and had chai tea with Grace and officials from the church and the school. Afterwards we went outside and met the children. There was a ceremony where the children offered poems and cited scripture. They were then called up to receive their new uniform, and quickly went off to change. When the children reassembled in their new uniforms, their smiles and demeanor were radiant. Grace and all of the school and church leaders and staff were extremely thankful.
